Job Description


1. Perform New and Existing Supplier Evaluations to ensure supplier has the demonstrated capability and implemented systems to meet company’s minimum requirements.

2. Liaison between identified supplier and plant personnel for specific assigned program(s).

3. To implement the Supplier Development strategy, plans and projects as approved by the Corporate Quality/Purchasing Team through effective control and management of APQP and Supplier Development activities 

4. To support selected new product launch, engineering changes and source / location change activities, offer technical assistance etc, working in conjunction with Cross Functional Teams according to Global APQP process.

5. To support the use of the appropriate company and customer procedures/documents related to Supplier Control, Assessment, and Supplier APQP High Impact Launch Support.

6. Demonstrate through leadership, commitment to the principles of "Continuous Improvement"    

7. Within provided processes, ensure that statutory regulations specific to Health & Safety and Environment standards are adhered to and assessed for each assigned supplier.

8. To ensure the implementation and maintenance of all relevant operating procedures as defined in the Integrated Management System and to introduce as necessary amendments, working in conjunction with the Corporate Purchasing and Quality Teams.

9. Provide Cross Functional Teams at each location a live assessment of selected program status and report during program reviews as required utilizing defined reporting practices.

10. Communicate the company’s supplier expectations as directed by company’s Management Team to the supply base and provide training assistance on specific requirements, as needed.

11. Special projects as identified by the ASQE Manager or Global Supplier Development Manager.

Job Requirements


1. Bachelor’s Degree (4 year) in Engineering

2. Five years’ experience in the supplier development, supplier quality function or

 product engineering. Proven project management and automotive industry experience.

3. ASQ certification as a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or other recognized professional institution, certification as an ISO/TS16949 auditor, or VDA 6.3 Process auditor

4. APQP knowledge & experience, including application of all automotive core tools

5. Strong knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes. Understanding of PPAP and Launch readiness Activities

6. Good communication skill and speak fluent English
