Job Description

Our client is a European Company providing total engineering solution and heavy machinery products, has local presence in over 50 countries, it is a well-known company listed on  NASDAQ OMX Exchange Copenhagen.

 To meet with their business development, they are now looking for a high caliber for the following position.


Post:      Qingdao Plant Manager

Team:     300+

Reports to: Global Head of Procurement (Italian)

Location:  Qingdao



         Manages and develops the Workshop Management team and cooperates with functional peers in Procurement fulfilment to plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to meet and exceed customers’ expectations

         Assumes full responsibility for plant productivity, product quality (in-house manufacturing and assembly) and on-time delivery

         Acts as a role model in following rules and policies as well as implementing actions to improve HSE standards in and around the work place

         Ensures management, maintenance and repair of the workshop facilities and plant infrastructure

         Maintains and improves the external relationships to relevant public and governmental institutions and individuals

         Understands the varying requirements related to repetitive product manufacturing and customized project manufacturing

         Is an active promotor of insourcing proprietary products into Qingdao workshop by engaging with Fabrication Global Category Manager, Product Line Managers and other relevant stakeholders

         Constantly engages and drives make-or-buy decision and pro-actively cooperates with Procurement to create a steady flow of material to ensure a continuous production cycle

         Increases production efficiency, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and continuously improves and stabilizes quality levels related to process and products

         Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts and implement where fit



Job Requirements


         MSc/BSc in Business Administration or the equivalent knowledge acquired in whatever way

         Good knowledge of the Group business and how divisions integrate their operations

         Good commercial and financial understanding

         Project management experience

         Negotiation skills
