Job Title: BD Manager-Southeast Asia

Report To: Sales VP

Working Location:Flexible

Under the leadership of the Vice-President of Sales, the Business Manager’s responsibilities include the sales and support of fiber processing technology to the pulp and paper industry in Southeast Asia. 

Interfaces extensively with sales and service functions within the company as well as directly with customers on sales presentations and system analysis or startups.

Performs a number of different duties involving the application of the company's technology to specific customer needs as expressed in sales inquiries from all sources. Works under the direction of the Vice-President of Sales, but interfaces extensively with all aspects of the company and directly with customers in advancing fiber processing technology. Such responsibilities include all phases of industrial marketing such as:
• Defining the market size and opportunities and targeted accounts..
• Planning, implementing and controlling a comprehensive marketing plan for fiber processing technology, including brown fiber, deinking, and approach flow applications. 
• Leads field sales efforts through the development of sales strategies and presentation materials.
• Coordination of customer interfaces with the company on every level whether administrative, technical or mechanical.
• Tracking and countering competitive activity, including technological and commercial issues.
• Building the database of market information necessary to build market share in both systems sales and aftermarket sales , for brown fiber processing,deinking, and approach flow applications. .


1. Qualifies sales leads and provides application specific requirements to KFC applications and capital sales teams for quotation development. 
2. Follows projects and manages KFC interface with the customer. 
3. Plans, implements and controls comprehensive marketing strategies for KFC fiber processing systems in Southeast Asia.
4. Leads field sales efforts in customer presentations and coordinates technical sales support as needed. 
5. Negotiates sales contracts..

6.Manages system startups utilizing field service personnel on an as-needed basis.

7. Coordinates project management activities with KFC project management team as well as warranty management and project closure.
8. Develops and implements aftermarket sales strategies and sales targets by account.
9. Provides routine market activity reports and sales forecasts to management.

Job Requirements

This position requires the ability to occasionally lift approximately 25 kgs. Also requires the ability to climb, stoop and bend in order to support on-site activities in customers’ plants. Ability to enter into the computer systems and operate general office equipment. Must comply with customer safety by wearing appropriate safety equipment on mill visits. In addition,foreign travel is extensive, requiring the ability to independently negotiate obstacles encountered in modern airports and foreign cities.

Excellent communication skills are required in order to interface effectively with both internal and external customers. A four-year technical degree from an accredited institution plus five years of related experience with recycled processes is required. An understanding of international commercial sales is critical. Field exposure to KFC stock prep and pulp mill equipment is desirable, including basic understanding of process control and system operation.
