Job Description

 Our client  is a German based company offering the gear and brake system into Cranes, Wind Turbine  and Lift systems sector, with More than 60 Sales Facilties around 51 countries

they have been in operation in  China market for over 15 years, with manufacturing and Sales Office in shanghai Pudong,  now with the business expansion, they are looking for 


Position Title:  China Purchasing Manager

Reporting to:  China MD

Team members: around 10

Location: Shanghai Pudong







1. Plant Production Material Operative tasks

- Supplier capacity management after SOP (Start of Production)

- Duplicated vendor tooling management, vendor tooling amortization monitoring

- Stamping parts, Machining, Casting commodity buying

- Fix asset receive approval

- VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) idea generation at plant

- Supplier payment follow up


2. Indirect material procurement for the responsible for China locations to ensure on time, on quality and on cost

- NPM category purchasing for Shanghai plant

3. Integrate activities with Global purchasing and plant operation to make sure

- Material continuity supply on time, on quality and on cost

- Interprets, implement and administers Cooperate purchasing practices, policies and procedures include PM and NPM

- Supplier Panel and Purchasing Commodity Strategy to be landed 

- Communication and reconciliation with all user department to drive continuous improvement

- Resolve problems involving supply of material or services, account payable, and supplier/site reconciliation. Root cause analysis to drive corrective actions.

4. Data analysis and regular performance report

- Annual procurement cost forecast

- Monthly procurement cost analysis


Job Requirements

 1. 7+ years of purchasing experience (required), automobile or mechnical industry experiences is a plus

2. High level of interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

3. Professional negotiation skills

4. English both in oral and written

5. SAP skill on Material Management or other modules

6. Bachelor degree with a major in engineering/Business administration or equivalent work experience
