The mission

Lead R&D team to develop product aligned with Global R&D strategies. Develop and drive a high efficient product development organization to deliver products to customer on time.


Job Description:

·           Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making at the top executive level so that the research and development strategy is aligned with the long-term vision, mission and objectives.

·           Oversee the R&D budget, monitor the cost and effectiveness of R&D activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and maintain professional standard

·           Leads R&D team in China and work well with all related function teams (Global & Local teams) to deliver results to meet company target.

·           Lead, direct, evaluate and develop professional R&D staff to ensure the quality, validity and credibility of product development.

·           Define the clear target to function team and action plan for achieving the target, instruct and engage the team working on the right direction with high efficient way.

·           Understand the strength and weakness of the team member and develop team member’s competency;

·           Define, develop product portfolio to ensure competitive position with regards to specs, packaging, and product performance for Asian and Export markets together with marketing.

·           Strong business partner with Operations to redefine NPD efficiencies in manufacturing.


·           Interface with other regional R&D teams and division marketing team to drive and influence global product roadmap.

Job Requirements

 l  Bachelor’s degree on mechanical engineering, Master’s degree preferred

l  Min. 15 years’ relevant experience, preferably in the Juvenile, Toys, consumer products within multinational companies; At least 8 years of team management experience;

l  Strong technical background in mechanical design

l  Experience working in factory and managing projects from multiple international customers is preferred;

l  Good communication in oral English, high standards for personal performance and work ethics.

l  Drive change, good learning ability and adaptability.

l  Motivate employees, with passion to develop world class engineering team. Willing to deal with people from different profession, enjoy growing people and a team player.
