Job Description

 Our client  is a global leadding advanced material company from Europe, joinining into China market over 15 years, with several plants locally, now with the business expansion, they are looking for 

 

Position Title:  Purchasing Director

Reporting to:  Operation Head, western foreigner

Team members: around 50

Location: Dalian City

  

 

Job Responsibilities:

    

    

· Drive the implementation of supply chain strategy and processes, support projects for business extension

    

· Communicate and coordinate with the Sales for best understand the customer demand on volume forecast, delivery, quality and potential localization needs

    

· Manage the order to delivery process, in terms of payment, product availability, lead-time, logistics arrangement and documentation. Ensure customer service activities are fully compliance in ISO requirements

    

· Drive improvement initiatives to standardize and optimize the existing process for whole procedure and maximize customer satisfaction (eg. ERP process)

    

· Promotes and uses strategic suppliers. Establish preferred supplier selection criteria based on supplier evaluations of price, quality, delivery, certifications, and compliance with governmental procurement regulations. Continuously improve the supplier base and suppliers’ performance for best needs of the business strategy

    

· Analyze logistics costs, lead times and supply chain footprint on orders and make recommendations on how to optimize performance and/or lower cost. Lead Logistics Wave initiatives to drive operation efficiency

 

 

Responsibilities:

l  Material control management for the plant production planning working with the operation team for high effective productivity supporting

    

· Manage the order to delivery process, in terms of payment, product availability, lead-time, logistics arrangement and documentation. Ensure customer service activities are fully compliance in ISO requirements

    

· Drive improvement initiatives to standardize and optimize the existing process for whole procedure and maximize customer satisfaction (eg. ERP process)

Establish preferred supplier selection criteria based on supplier evaluations of price, quality, delivery, certifications, and compliance with governmental procurement regulations. · Analyze logistics costs, lead times and supply chain footprint on orders (tank rentals, rail and truck, demurrage, etc.) and make recommendations on how to optimize performance and/or lower cost. Lead Logistics Wave initiatives to drive operation efficiency

    

· Responsible for the finished goods, slow moving and obsolete (SLOB) and other inventory at warehouse to deliver working capital targets

    

· Ensure full compliance with international trade regulations, for self and team

    

· Develop and build necessary skills in the organization by training, coaching and oversight


Job Requirements

  Bachelor degree or higher with major in Supply Chain Management/Trade/ Chemical,     

· 10 years above relevant experience, 5 years management experience, milt-national company experience or same company module is preferred

 

·  Strong business acumen to easy approach on commercial environment and make right analysis.

 

·  High Potential to extend more broad work scope to align with business development and take more challenge with burden.

 

·  Dare to change and lead team to make it happens to ensure optimization in operation 

 

·  High sense of responsibility, proactive attitude and independent, good interpersonal skills, communications skills, familiar with ERP system (SAP SD model) is preferred

 

· Good ability to influence, negotiate, present, articulate, work under pressure and deal with tight deadlines with high energy and resilience

    

· Team management experience with bring up ability, coach and support subordinators for continuous improvement

    

· Good English writing & speaking

    

· Willing to travel extensively
