Job Description

  • Responsible for leading all aspects of the purchase. Develop & Execute annual and long term strategies of the Purchase department. Establish performance objectives (KPIS) and drives action plans to closure, in alignment with Global Purchasing
  •  Reviews production schedules, supplier lead time, and related information and utilize SAP to determine direct material requirements for Purchase Order (PO) placement.
  • Review safety stock and min/max levels for inventoried items periodically and adjust to support delivery of materials at the right place, time, and quantity to support operations.
  • Authorize purchase orders, approve payments and negotiate complex deals
  •   Ensure purchase requests at lowest cost consistent with required quality, quantity and availability.
  • Act effectively when manufacturing changes, product line extensions or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transition.
  •   Drive supplier performance improvements including lead time reduction.
  •  Perform ongoing evaluation of supplier reliability (timeliness, accuracy, quality) and develop alternate sources to meet demand.
  • Investigate order discrepancies, the receiving of defective or unacceptable materials, and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Lead cost reduction efforts across the supply base. Utilize preferred suppliers and contract pricing when available. Maintain ethical business conduct in all supplier relations.
  •  Analyze and monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  •  Initiate and mange VA / VE (Value Analysis, Value Engineering) projects in alignment with local functional teams and with Global Purchasing to identify cost savings and process improvements.
  •    Manage cost and savings on non-production (indirect) commodities like external indirect services

Job Requirements

  • Fluent English.
  • Travel based on business requirement.
  • chemical or engneering industry related expereicne is a plus.
  • +5 Years working experience. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in material or engineering or other related major.
